The ‘three village photography group’ was set up on Facebook during the coronavirus pandemic for people to showcase the pictures they had taken during their daily exercise, from around Colne, Bluntisham and Earith.
It has since gone from strength to strength and now boasts 664 members, 86 of whom joined in the past year. It is a very active group, with 475 posts and a whopping 12,485 reactions to them in 2023.
Anyone can upload images from within the three villages, and each month the photo with the most ‘likes’ becomes the pages cover image, and a selection of the best pictures get collated into a charity calendar, sponsored by local businesses, with profits raising funds for local causes.
In 2023, sales from the calendar raised a fantastic £743, split between Brambles childcare, Music makers at St Helens church and Earith WI.
